Inspiration through Beautiful Photographs & Words, from a Breast Cancer Survivor

Gardening was Barbara Stinson's first love, as a young child watching her aunts work on their garden  and she saw how beautiful the flowers were. She looked forward to having her own garden someday. She later became an avid gardener, as well as a musician and educator.
Barbara appreciated the beauty around her. When she began traveling, she purchased a camera to remember her time there and soon developed an interest in photography.

This love of gardening and photography helped her later get through some tough times. She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 1999 and again in 2011. She would continue her gardening and taking photos of the flowers, up close and personal, it because very therapeutic for her.
With her 2nd diagnoses, she focused her attention on pink flowers, tuning in on their different characteristics and qualities.

Barbara also began writing, creating analogies with the flowers and humans, from the strength of the Cosmo to the confidence of a Foxglove.

In her recent book, "Pink Petals, A Focus on Healing", Barbara has put together a collection of photographs from her garden with words of support. She hopes to help others going through Breast Cancer as a means of comfort and inspiration.

Barbara has a beautiful home and surrounds herself with art from her travels and of course flowers.  The last of fall flowers, Dahlia's, from her garden keep in a vase.

Thank you Barbara for sharing your book.
