A Local Artist's Studio & Gallery

Canman, a business owner and tattoo artist, has a high attention to detail as he works on coloring his client's custom tattoo. Much thought and time goes into the design of a tattoo before any work is done to assure the client gets the design they want, with approved artwork on paper. Canman, and the other artists, at Visions Tattoo, Piercing and Art Gallery, create unique works of art, that is specific to the client and no one else has.

Canman has his original artwork close by to use as a reference.

Canman & his wife, Angela Cannistraro, a professional body piercer, opened Visions in 2004 on Main Street, here in the same town where Canman grew up. There are 4 other creative artists at Visions: Ariel Robinson, Craig Prentiss, Teejay and Nicholas Adams, so Canman has time to spend in growing their business as well as creating works of art on canvas. Below is their new 3rd floor, with a studio, office and plenty of space to have get-togethers with other artists.
In Canman's artwork he uses acrylics and oil and has also been experimenting with mixed media.

Canman, while out on a hike, drew his attention to some loud birds and stopped to see what was all the noise. He noticed in the distance smoke stacks of buildings representing pollution/industry which was the influence for this bird series, 1 of 4.

On the first floor you will find cases of jewelry for piercing, tattoo art inspiration, and Canman's gallery of various paintings, all having a story to tell and much emotion.

Surrealism influenced works of art.
Surrealism is a cultural movement that began in the early 1920s. Artists painted unnerving, illogical scenes with photographic precision, created strange creatures from everyday objects and developed painting techniques that allowed the unconscious to express itself.
