Artist, Judith Moffatt's Fun & Colorful Studio

Thank you to Judith for sharing her studio. She lives on a quiet street overlooking the Charles River with lots of greenery and wildlife in her view. It is a very peaceful place to work and enjoys her studio/home with her husband, Tabby cat & Airedale terrier.

Judith is the illustrator of over 50 books for young children. By using cut paper artwork, she creates a 3 dimensional look using bold colors. You will also see her Tabby cat featured in many of her books, below in the 12 Days of Christmas.

Some of her work is from inspiration right out her window!

These little guys were featured in one of her books, here with a framed original.

Judith shared with me her latest project, after two successful Mandala coloring books, she creates "Garden To Go" a traveling coloring book. You can purchase these on her Etsy site (link below) and locally at TC Scoops. These are really for all ages, I've used them (yes I love coloring), as well as my 10 & 12 yr old.

Judith is here working on a winter Mandala design.

Judith & her husband (an digital artist) work together on some projects including this animal series for Ranger Rick Jr Magazine.

Color Envy!

In the studio Judith makes the most of her wall space, with books of resources & inspiration.

Sweet Pea's is getting ready for Farm to Table Dinner

Medway Chef, Krista Maloney, founder of Sweet Pea's Catering, is prepping for this weekend’s Medway Community Farm “Farm to Table Dinner”. Using all produce from the farm, she begins creating this 100 person dinner.

This is the 2nd year Krista has catered this event. She creates a unique menu celebrating all the flavors of the farm

For the first course, Carrot Ginger Soup with Honey Thyme Yogurt & Pine nuts will be served.

Krista’s father, Paul, a big supporter of hers also lends his hand in the kitchen.

Krista places the eggplants carefully over the flames to get charred.

Eggplants now perfectly charred. The skin will be discarded while the tender inside will be scooped out to make a vegetarian option of zucchini noodles and eggplant meatballs with slow roasted tomatoes & peppers.

Krista is also using local beef, provided by Lilac Hedge Farm in Berlin. On the menu: Middle Eastern Spiced Beef with slow roasted tomatoes & peppers.

Onions to be caramelized for a pizzetta.
