The different kinds of medium, including the different brands of colored pencils, can really make a difference and give you different outcomes and effects. A blending tool, which looks like a regular colored pencil, removes the lines you sometimes get with colored pencils and gives a nice solid color.

The little Bluebird card, above, was created using watercolor colored pencils. After you lightly color your picture, you dip a paint brush in water and paint over it giving a watercolor look. |
